Q: What is the Voice Mail feature?

A: Voice mail is like having an answering machine on your pager. When callers call your pager number, they may either leave you a numeric page or a verbal message. When the caller leaves a verbal message, your pager will notify you with your pager number on the screen. To retrieve your message, simply dial your pager number, enter your personal security code, and your message will be played back for you.

Q: How much does the Voice Mail feature cost?

A: This service is free on all of our one way pagers. That's right it's FREE! While other companies charge as much as $5 per month for voice mail, PeoplesPaging offers Basic Voice Mail as part of our basic package.

Q: Is it easy to set up and use?

A: Very easy. Just follow the instructions provided with your pager. You may customize your greeting to tell callers to leave either a verbal message, numeric message, or both.

Q: What's the difference between Numeric and Alphanumeric Service?

A: Numeric service is the standard paging service. When your caller pages you, they punch in their call back number. Then your pager will alert you, displaying this call back number almost immediately. Alphanumeric Service allows the user to receive Text messages via the Internet, Email or through our optional Operator Dispatch Service. When a person enters their message or sends you an "E-Page" the words scroll across your pager display in just seconds. Q: What is a Coverage Area?

A: Your coverage area is the area where you can travel with your pager and still receive pages. It doesn't matter where the call originates from - you simply have to be within your specified coverage area to receive your pages. The different types of coverage options available are Basic, Statewide, Regional, Nationwide and OmniRoam.

Q: What do I get with Basic Service?

A: Basic Service gives you coverage in your local area. With Basic Service, you can receive an unlimited number of pages in your coverage area. And, when you purchase your pager from PeoplesPaging, you receive the Basic Voice Mail package FREE with your Basic Service. A: Statewide Service includes coverage for your state for only $5 over the Basic Service. You will get your pages in all the covered cities in your state (please refer to the statewide map). Q: What About Toll Free Numbers?

A: Personal 800 Number- This service allows you to receive messages toll-free from anywhere in the United States with your own private 800 number. You will also be able to access your voice mail toll-free. Great for the person on the go. You can receive up to 200 calls per month to your 800 number. Q: Does PeoplesPaging Offer a Protection Plan?

A: Yes, our Loss and Maintenance Protection Plan* gives you insurance against those unexpected events. Starting from $2 a month, this service protects the pager against theft, loss or damage. *One claim per pager for any 90 day period. Police report required on all lost or stolen pagers. In the event of a claim, the damaged or lost/stolen pager becomes property of PeoplesPaging.

Q: Can I use my pager on PeoplesPaging's system?

A: Unfortunately, no. Most paging companies "passcode" their pagers, making reactivation virtually impossible. And the newer pagers work on a different frequency and have special features that enhance their reception. We've found that it's better for our customer's to go ahead and upgrade to a new PeoplesPaging pager.

Q: Can I keep my existing pager number from another pager company?

A: No. Each pager company is given a limited phone pool from which to assign numbers. These numbers are property of the respective Paging providers. We do make every attempt to assign "good", easy to remember numbers. And we'll search our number database if you have a specific number request.

Q: How does the Referral Program work?

A: With PeoplesPaging's Referral Program, you may never have to pay a pager bill again! Refer a friend to us, and you'll receive a month of service free.* It's easy to save with PeoplesPaging.

*Referred customer must purchase pager. Referral credits are for basic service only and may not exceed $10. Please allow up to 60 days for your referral credit to be applied.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive my new pager and what is the shipping cost?

A: We strive hard to get your pager to you as fast as possible. If your order is placed before 1pm M-F EST, it will ship that day. All other orders are shipped the next business day. The best way to get your pager quickly is to select Federal express 2 Day Shipping ($6.95). You'll receive your pager in just 2 days if you select this option. We also offer FedEx Standard Overnight which will ensure your new pager will arrive by 7pm the next business day (There is a $5 surcharge for shipments to Alaska and Hawaii).

Q: Is the online order process secure?

A: Absolutely! Just call PeoplesPaging to add Sister City, Regional or Nationwide Coverage for your vacation. We'll add the service and you'll be billed month to month. So when you no longer need the service, you just call to cancel. It's that easy.
